After having stage 3 colon cancer at age 29, I went on an all out search trying to find the best ways to be healthy.
But the only thing I found were trendy "diets" that were too complicated and hard to follow, I couldn't stick to long-term, and were unrealistic for someone with a busy lifestyle.
I needed to be in control. I read article after article and stayed up late studying all the healthy eating books under the sun. The more information I consumed, the more unrealistic my expectations around food and “eating right" became.
I developed massive guilt about my eating habits and felt like a constant failure after every new method I tried.
At one point I felt so hopeless that I gave up and quit trying all together.
It was only after turning 40 that I was able to finally break free from the bondage of my food obsession!
That’s when I gained laser-focused clarity and direction on how to eat not only to keep weight off but also to fight off illnesses, aches, and pains without counting calories, doing drastic diets, or living by crazy food rules I knew I couldn’t keep up with.
